Australian UAV (AUAV) has been featured in the Drone Industry Insights’ top 20 global drone service provider list for the fourth year. Drone Industry Insights is the leading global source for data on commercial drones. This year they assessed over 850 companies to compile the list and have published a comprehensive report on the results of their analysis. The report is for sale on their website.
Now the only Australian company to feature on the list, the dedicated team at AUAV are pleased to have had their hard work, and innovative approach recognised again. After enduring the longest lockdowns in the world, the company has come out of the Covid era stronger than ever. 2022 has seen significant revenue growth across all service lines, and the team is growing quickly.
Established in 2013, AUAV is one of Australia’s first drone service businesses, evolving to offer topographical surveys, a comprehensive range of inspection, 3D modelling, and consulting services. The team at AUAV are dedicated to customer-specific outcomes and providing the right data sets, not drones. This focus has seen the company develop inSite™, a robust proprietary web GIS platform, asset visualisation and management system to deliver good outcomes for our client’s needs.
Following the company sale to the Vertech Group in February 2022, significant asset integrity and opportunities have come to fruition with complementary services offered to the existing Vertech clients. These opportunities have enabled the company’s expansion in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and the United Kingdom.
James Rennie, the company founder and Managing Director of AUAV, noted, “Our inclusion on the top 20 list is a testament to the team’s work in delivering a high level of service to our diverse client base”. Much has changed in the past ten years regarding technology, competition, and our services. What has not changed is our belief in a business model that prioritised the recruitment of a full-time team of staff instead of a casual, contractor model.” He further commented,” I’m confident in maintaining and building on our industry position” and “with the continued growth we look forward to featuring again in the Drone Industry Insights Top 20 list for the foreseeable future”.
While AUAV is based in Australia, the team has operated internationally in Antarctica, Armenia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. The following 12 months will see AUAV growing internationally to support the Vertech Group of companies further.
Tom Brennan, the Managing Director of the Vertech Group, stated, “the partnership with AUAV has flourished as it’s been immediately clear that James and the AUAV team align with ourselves in their dedication to client’s needs, quality outcomes and innovating to drive positive change. Being recognised once again as one of the top 20 companies in the world is a reflection of the way AUAV go about their business, and the team should be extremely proud.”
In February 2023, AUAV will celebrate ten years in business; the future is looking very bright for the company as we look to continue to push boundaries and improve.
AUAV is currently recruiting drone operators in Darwin, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, intending to expand further throughout Australia in 2023.
The team is always looking for talented drone operators and data processing specialists. If you want to join our growing team, please send your CV to careers@auav.com.au.
